Engoori® Changing the Conversation Training

Engoori® Changing the Conversation

Teams and Organisations

One or two-day workshop to strengthen cultural safety in our workplaces, and cultural capability within our teams. Yimburu offers training to change the conversation through our industry leading Deficit Discourse research. This training enables individuals to explore social narratives and assumptions that shape workplace culture and psychosocial safety. Guided through facilitated dialogue, reflective practice and experiential learning, participants develop practical tools to notice bias and inequity, challenge assumptions and build capability for culturally safe and inclusive practices within their teams and organisations.

Engoori® Changing the Conversation goes beyond cultural awareness to transform workplace narratives and empower inclusive, strength-based cultures. Individuals learn to identify how deficit discourse operates across policies, language and organisational culture, and develop tools to lead change.

This training is useful for organisations:

  • With First Nations advisory bodies
  • With Reconciliation Action Plans
  • Navigating Treaty
  • Navigating self-determination

Engoori Cycle 2 is a two-day workshop that follows Engoori Cycle 1. The workshop supports teams to work confidently with change and complexity within their workplaces by recognising that many organisational and social challenges are not simple or linear and cannot be resolved through technical fixes alone. Engoori Cycle 2 supports groups to move beyond managing change as a set of tasks, and instead curate change as an ongoing, shared practice grounded in strong relationships, clarity of purpose and collective responsibility.

Yimburu recommends completing Engoori Cycle 1 prior to this workshop.

Navigating Complexity and Curating Change

Engoori® Relational Health Check

Engoori® Relational Health Check

A two to three week engagement on the strengths of relationships and opportunities within your organisation or team. We explore what you say you will do i.e. your strategies and policies, and their strength of connection to what you are doing i.e. the relationships between people, and the relationships between people and the work. Grounded in Yimburu’s ethos of life pathways, this relational Health Check gives leaders and teams clarity when you are unsure of how to navigate current challenges and uncertain of your best steps forward. Over a short engagement, we identify strengths, challenges, opportunities and possible next steps to navigate complexity and curate sustainable change.

We use a 3-step process:

Listening to understand

We gather insights through facilitating conversations using the Engoori process and reviewing documents to understand where your team or organisation is now.

Mapping our pathway

We map relational and cultural strengths as pathways walked, alongside opportunities for future pathways, creating a view of current realities and future possibilities.

Curating change

We deliver 2-3 pathway options that guide your journey forward – practical steps to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration, supporting the team to navigate complexity and curate sustainable change.
